What fitting a kitchen involves

  1. 01

    Before the units go in

    The old kitchen comes out, the walls and floor are checked for level, and pipes and cables are put where the new layout needs them.

  2. 02

    Units and worktops

    Base units go in first, set level across the room, then the wall units. Worktops are cut to the walls, joined, and cut out for the sink and hob.

  3. 03

    Doors, panels and trims

    Doors and drawer fronts are hung and adjusted so the gaps are even. End panels, plinths, cornice and fillers finish it.

  4. 04

    Appliances

    Built-in appliances go into their housings. The final water and electrical connections are for a plumber and an electrician.
